Description of class levels: (Many people take the same level multiple times and that is normal as there are so many dances to learn. The more you practice and dance the faster you will feel confident to advance.)
Beginner line dance- brand new to line dancing, no experience needed.
Improver line dance- Have taken one or more of our beginner classes or danced elsewhere. Confident with all of the basic line dance steps and able to dance beginner dances without depending on someone calling the steps or watching others around you.
Intermediate line dance- Able to pick up all beginner dances on the fly and can learn more complicated dances at a quicker pace. Many (but not all) of the improver and intermediate dances taught overlap but the pace of the teaching is faster than in the improver class.
Beginner partner- It is highly recommended that you have taken session or at least a few beginner line dance classes first and have learned the basic steps. This makes learning partner dances much easier as you will need to add in the arm work and working with a partner. You don’t need to have a partner for our beginner class. Come and we will pair you up if needed.
Advanced partner class- Confident with all the line dance steps and able to execute the beginner partner dances. Partners needed for this class.
What are Summer Flex Passes? We know you go on vacation, have visitors, events and can’t always commit to classes or dance nights. That’s why we are offering, in the summer only, this flexible pass. The pass is good for classes, open dance nights and even for trivia and yoga. (it is not for off-site events or for our Anniversary Party). Pass will be $200 for 12 entries and include 1 free guest pass to be shared with someone NEW to Dance Country and a Summer Gift (while supplies last). If you use up this pass don’t worry, we will have renewal options. You may of course continue to pay by the class or event but without sessions in the summer, these passes will really help out Dance Country 😊 Or you can pay by the class $20/class/person.
. The summer passes begin May 22nd 2025 and expire on Aug 31st 2025th (no exceptions) and we will start new fall sessions after Labor Day.

** Please note the Sunday classes are every other week and will be 2 hours and Thursday class will change to EO week and 2 hours starting July 3rd. The 2 hour classes will include a few lessons and open dance in between.

Tentative Schedule: Feel free to come around 3:30 to set up chairs or tents for shade.
Line and partner dancing: 4PM to 5PM, 6PM to 7PM, and 8PM to 9PM:
Live music with Sundance! : 5PM to 6PM and 7PM to 8PM:
Wood fired Pizza Truck, salad, homemade desserts: 5PM to 7PM

Pride Event at Ocean Beach (tentative)
